emerging technologies
New Icons operates at the intersection of design, engineering and emerging technology, exploring how new ideas can be translated into credible products, systems and entirely new categories.
Our work ranges from rethinking familiar everyday objects and developing intelligent digital tools to autonomous systems, advanced mobility and unmanned aerial technologies. Increasingly, this means working across disciplines—combining industrial design, AI, simulation, computational engineering and rapid digital prototyping to investigate ideas that once required large specialist teams and significant infrastructure.
Whether the challenge is improving a simple physical interaction or developing a new drone architecture, the ambition remains the same: to identify possibilities others may have overlooked and turn them into technologies that can be designed, tested and ultimately built.
reinventing the everyday
New Icons explores emerging technologies with the potential to reshape industries, systems and everyday life. Much of that work begins with the familiar: the tools, products and routines we use every day but rarely question.
By looking again at how ordinary objects function, where friction remains and how new materials, intelligence, automation or engineering approaches might transform them, New Icons develops original concepts that challenge established assumptions.
Alongside this, we explore more ambitious technologies in mobility, autonomy, digital systems and unmanned vehicles—identifying opportunities early and working with specialist partners to turn promising ideas into credible new products, platforms and future-facing systems.
